Welcome to Phuket Island

The Island of Phuket is one of the top tourist destinations within South-East Asia and the number one tourist hub in Thailand. Much of Phuket’s fame is in large part due to the party town of Patong Beach, one of the most famous beaches in Phuket, but it is not the only reason. One of the big draws for tourists from all over the world is the natural beauty of the Phuket Beaches. It is one of the top destinations in all of Thailand.

Beautiful Phuket Beaches

The beaches in Phuket are probably the biggest draw for people visiting the island. The beautiful Phuket weather brings tourists from all parts of the world flocking to the soft white sand and crystal clear turquoise water. Parts of Phuket truly are paradise, but you need to know where to look.

Unfortunately, all beaches are not created equally, such is in Phuket Island. The beaches in south Phuket and along the east coast are not the pristine white sand beaches that you would expect from a tropical paradise. They are often rocky with very shallow water unsuitable for swimming. As you move along the south and back up the west coast, the beaches improve and you can find some fine beaches. Kata Beach and it’s neighbor Kata Noi Beach are two of the top beaches on the island. But the most pristine beaches, untouched by development can be found in the north-west of Phuket. These beaches are typically surrounded by high end world class resorts and for the most part, have retained their natural beauty.

World Class Phuket Resorts

Phuket Island has no shortage of high quality resort destinations where anything can be had for a price. The north of the island is a haven for the high end tourist looking for peace and quiet away from the local buzz of people, but it comes with a price. Phuket is a relatively cheap place to stay compared to other high end tropical destinations, but if you stay in the north of Phuket, you likely won’t know it. Fortunately, there are many resort and hotel options available for people of all budgets.

Don’t Forget Patong Beach

Patong Beach is the perfect blend of price and activity that most people visiting Phuket Island will eventually find themselves there. Although it is typically more expensive then the south of Phuket and can be as expensive as the north, Patong offers a range of accommodations that will suit any traveler. Not only that, but many of the top Phuket attractions are in or near Patong beach.

Memorable Phuket Attractions

Whether you wish to experience the natural beauty of the island, visit the many Buddhist temples, take an elephant trek or take in some Thai culture, all of the top Phuket attractions are within your reach. Take in a show at the famous Simon Cabaret or maybe go meet some nice Thai girls (or boys) on the infamous Bangla Road. Phuket has so much to see and do that you are sure to never get bored.
