The entire first floor of the famous Tiger Entertainment complex is a concrete cave full of go go bars and beer bars. It is difficult to really tell where one bar ends and the next begins. At times you may forget that the Tiger complex is a series of smaller bars and may think you are in one giant bar. There are plenty of dancing Thai girls amongst the twenty or so bars, but that is only an appetizer to the Tiger Discotheque upstairs.
To get to the upper levels of the Tiger complex, a entry fee of around 150 baht is charged. This gives you access to the disco and one free drink at the bar. The discotheque is the largest of all of the late night venues in Patong, so unless it is packed, it often seems empty. The nightclub has excellent sound and laser lighting systems. They play a mix of both hip hop and techno that can really get the crowd going. It gets really busy around 2am when all the other bars are closed and the bar girls come looking for a customer. It is a good place to spend an early morning, but remember that there are plenty of other options in Patong Beach if it’s not your style.
