Nai Thorn Beach

Nai Thorn Beach is a small beach similar to it’s larger neighbor Nai Thon Beach but has been completely blocked off by the Andaman White Beach Resort. Although there is no such thing as a private beach in Phuket, Nai Thorn Beach is as close as you can get. It is impossible to get to the beach by land as the resort owns all of the adjacent land and they make the beach only accessible to their guests, although it is still possible to arrive by boat.

The beach is a squeaky white sand that is of the highest quality. The shore slopes gently into the sea making a similarly inviting sandy seabed. The water is deep enough to have a comfortable swim. You may remember this beach from the famous movie “The Beach”, staring Leonardo DiCaprio. It isn’t the main beach, that is on Phi Phi Island, but this beach is in there as well.

If you happen to be a a guest at the Andaman White Beach Resort, this is probably the only beach you will need. It is naturally beautiful, making for a perfect tropical getaway. If you are not fortunate enough to be staying in said resort, you will most likely never see this beach up close and personal. It is too bad that the beach is virtually inaccessible to the general public because it truly is a great beach.

Beach Activities

The Andaman White Beach Resort offers sun loungers and a range of other activities. Unfortunately, you need to be a guest of the resort in order to partake in any of these activities. There is also decent snorkeling along both ends of the beach.

Getting There

As all of the beachfront land is owned by the Andaman White Beach Resort, it is impossible to legally get to the beach by land unless you are a guest of the resort. Your only real alternative is to hire a long-tail boat from an adjacent beach and come in by sea. There is no such thing as a private beach in Phuket so the hotel staff cannot make you leave, although they will not make you feel welcome either.
